"MACK THE KNIFE... The Life and Music of Bobby Darin"
begins performances
Off Broadway at The Theatre at Saint Peter's, 619 Lexington Avenue (in the
Citi Corp bldg - 54th Street & Lexington) on Wednesday, June 11 at 8:00
pm. Chaz Esposito stars as Bobby Darin along with Larry Frenock and a nine-piece
band recreating the classic hit songs. It is co-created with musical direction
and arrangements by James Haddon. The set is by Martin Machitto, with lighting
and sound by John Pappas. The musical is co-created and directed by Chaz
Esposito. Presented by Splish Splash Productions, the limited engagement
of the new Off Broadway musical opens on Sunday, June 22nd at 3:00 pm.
In 1959, Bobby Darin's hit song "Mack The Knife" was #1 on the charts for
over 22 weeks. "MACK THE KNIFE... the life and music of Bobby Darin" covers
his sensational career from 1958 to his untimely death in 1973. A preview

"MACK THE KNIFE" is a fast paced, non-stop good time musical which recreates
the nostalgic times when Bobby Darin was the consummate performer and icon
of the 1950's and 60's. Bobby captured America's heart with his numerous
hits, recordings, nightclub and television appearances, concerts and in
films. Some of the Darin classics include "Splish Splash", "Dream Lover",
"Beyond the Sea", "Things", "You're The Reason I'm Living", "If I Were
A Carpenter" and of course "Mack the Knife".
"MACK THE KNIFE" has the endorsement of the Bobby Darin estate. This
is the first time it has granted such permission.
The performance schedule for "MACK THE KNIFE... the life and music of Bobby
Darin" is Tuesday - Saturday at 8:00 pm; matinees Wednesday and Saturday
at 2:00 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm. There will be no performance on Friday,
July 4th. Tickets are only $45.00. Tickets are available by calling Telecharge
